Located in the heart of Baytown, Texas, just a few miles north of downtown Houston, is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Houston and the second largest city in Texas. The Bay Town Nature Center is located in a quiet area with about 1,000 inhabitants and is home to all kinds of wildlife, including over 200 species of birds alone. Located among the most popular shopping and dining areas in the city, just two blocks from the Houston Convention Center, it is a great place to explore the natural beauty.

Baytown is located on the north side of Galveston Bay, just a few miles north of Houston and about a half-hour drive south of downtown Houston.

Baytown - DFW Airport is located about an hour and a half north of Houston. Follow I-45 (s) route (see map) to State Highway 146 in Lanier, which is connected to Interstate 10 as a spur.

Steel production in Baytown began in 1970 when United States Steel opened its Texas plant in the city. Later, the company built the Bay Town Refinery, which was to become one of the largest Exxon refineries in the world.

Today, the ferry operates ferry services from Baytown to Corpus Christi, Houston and San Antonio, as well as to other surrounding cities and communities.

Baytown is home to both saltwater and freshwater fishing, and there are guided fishing trips that take visitors to several Baytown boat launch sites. The Downtown Arts District has the Bay Town Public Art Program, led by the Tourism Division of the City of Bay Town, as well as a variety of other arts and crafts businesses and businesses, whether downtown or near downtown. Finally, a funny fact about the place: Stallworth Stadium is home to the Texas Longhorns football team and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
